HM Revenue & Customs has confirmed that the switch of export declarations from the CHIEF system to CDS will now be moved from the 31st March 2023 to 30th November 2023.
Following consultation with the border industry, exporters will now have until 30 November 2023 to move across to the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), 8 months later than previously announced.
This will ensure that businesses have enough time to prepare, and the right level of support is put in place to help exporters move across.
